BIO

Davion “Dismoc Le Ma” Coleman is a multidisciplinary designer/artist currently residing and working in St. Louis, MO. His area of focus is mainly print design, illustration, and digital media. His eagerness to start gaining knowledge in the design field lead him to the enrollment in the summer program of Game Design/Animation at the Art Institute of Downtown Chicago. Furthermore, he spent two years at South County Technical School studying the fundamentals of graphic design. He excelled and graduated at the top of his class, receiving an individual honors’ award his graduating year. After graduating, he freelanced for several local businesses and marketing agencies. Soon after, he received his AAS degree in Graphic Communication at St. Louis Community College.

In December of 2013, Dismoc Le Ma joined the RAW: Natural Born Artist organization. Since his joining Dismoc Le Ma has been featured in eleven showcases in eleven different cities sponsored by RAW. Months after joining RAW, Dismoc Le Ma was selected for a solo exhibition in St. Charles MO. Dismoc Le Ma continued spreading his artwork through festivals, showcases, and live painting. Dismoc Le Ma creative workings have been featured with prestigious companies such as Adobe and distinguished wine and spirits such as Seagram’s Gin. As well Seagram’s Gin displayed his painting in a gallery in Miami for Art Basel week. In 2014 Dismoc Le Ma founded an online e-commerce art gallery called The Kre8ive Shop. Dismoc Le Ma was nominated by his peers and fans in 2015 to receive the RAW: Natural Born Artists: Visual Artist of The Year award. In most recent, Dismoc Le Ma has begun speaking with students about art and design, which he began at Marygrove for the Your Words after-school program.

In 2017 Dismoc Le Ma received the Royal Dragonfly award for his illustrative work on a children’s book entitled Smile Big Dream Bigger. Dismoc Le Ma was featured in Voyage Chicago’s publication for his art in 2018. In 2019 Dismoc Le Ma released his first children’s book he wrote and illustrated called Paw Paw How Did I Get My Gigabytes. Dismoc Le Ma is currently continuing his passion for the field, designing for several companies, and spreading his art around the country.
