DAVION "DISMOC LE MA" COLEMAN'S PORTFOLIO
Davion “Dismoc Le Ma” Coleman is a versatile artist based in St. Louis, MO, specializing in folk art, sculpture, illustration, and digital media. His passion for design began early, leading him to enroll in the Game Design/Animation summer program at the Art Institute of Chicago and later at South County Technical School, where he studied graphic design fundamentals. Graduating at the top of his class, he was awarded individual honors. After freelancing for local businesses and marketing agencies, he earned an AAS in Graphic Communication from St. Louis Community College.
In December 2013, Dismoc Le Ma joined the RAW: Natural Born Artists organization, where he showcased his work in eleven different cities. Shortly after, he was selected for a solo exhibition in St. Charles, MO. His artwork has been featured in prominent festivals, showcases, and live painting events, and he has collaborated with prestigious brands like Adobe and Seagram’s Gin, which displayed his work at Art Basel in Miami. He was nominated for RAW’s Visual Artist of the Year award in 2015.
In addition to his artistic work, Dismoc Le Ma has been involved in education, speaking with students about art and design through the Your Words after-school program. In 2017, he received the Royal Dragonfly Award for his illustrations in the children’s book Smile Big Dream Bigger, and in 2018, he was featured in Voyage Chicago for his artistic achievements. In 2019, he published his own children’s book, Paw Paw, How Did I Get My Gigabytes? He continues to design for various companies while sharing his art nationwide.
